Young Dolph memorial at Makeda’s Cookies to be removed 

It’s been almost four months now, since Young Dolph was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis. Three suspects have since been arrested, in connection to this murder. Dolph was originally killed at Makeda’s Cookies, in South Memphis, on Airways Blvd. This came after there had been multiple shooting attempts to take Dolph’s life, since 2017.

That business had since been turned into a memorial area for Young Dolph, and was temporarily closed. The downtown Makeda’s was still open, though. Now, the Dolph memorial at Makeda’s in South Memphis, will reportedly being removed, according to NBC 5 Memphis.

The family of this Makeda’s also revealed that Dolph’s family gave them permission to remove the memorial. As of now though, it’ unclear when that process will begin. WREG Memphis 3 did report though, that the owners of this location have decided against reopening for business, due to threats being made. This was confirmed by Raven Winton, the operations manager.

Last week, tragedy truck in this memorial location, as Jeremiah Taylor was shot and killed, in Memphis. Taylor was who had been cleaning the memorial consistently, and making sure it looked good.

A few months ago, arrests were also made, as a shooting took place near the memorial. Three men were charged, but police said there was “zero evidence” that that incident was connected to the Dolph shooting, according to Fox 13 Memphis.
