Young Dolph murder suspect, Justin Johnson, was also arrested for violation of 2015 sex offender registry charges

Over a week ago, 23-year-old Justin Johnson and 32-year-old Cornelius Smith, were arrested for the murder of Young Dolph. Each were hit with a first-degree murder charge. 27-year-old Shundale Barnett was also hit with accessory to murder charges.

Johnson and Smith were both arrested after police received tips, while they were on the run. Johnson was arrested while at a truck stop outside of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was soon extradited to Memphis.

Full list of charges for Johnson included first-degree murder, criminal attempted first-degree murder, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, employ of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, snd theft of property $10,000-$60,000. According to VladTV, Johnson was also arrested for violation of sex offender registry charges.

These charges date back to 2015, when Johnson was arrested and charged with aggravated rape and robbery. At the time, he was 17-years-old. At 19, he was placed on the violent juvenile sex offender registry list.

Johnson was arraigned last week, and given $5,000 bond. He’s still in jail on the murder charges, though. His criminal history is definitely concerning, as incidents include serving nine months of a five-year sentence for a triple shooting at a bowling alley in 2017, drug and handgun charges in May 2018, federal gun charges, back in July 2018.
