Young Dolph Officially Gets His Own Street Named After Him, in Hometown of Memphis [VIDEO]

On December 16, Young Dolph’s public memorial will finally be held, at the FedExForum, in his hometown of Memphis. This comes two weeks after a private one was held, for his close loved ones. This upcoming memorial gave out free tickets on Ticketmaster, which quickly sold out. FedExForum is able to hold over 18,100 people.

There have also been plans for Dolph to have his own street named after him, in Memphis. on Wednesday, that was made official, per TMZ. This street is officially titled Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton Jr. Avenue. Dolph’s girlfriend, Mia, was also there, with their two children.

Local politicians at the street unveiling event, included Councilwoman Martavius Jones and Councilman JB Smiley Jr. The police investigation into Dolph’s murder is still ongoing. He was shot and killed on November 17, at Makeda’s Cookies. Two men pulled up to the business in a Mercedes-Benz, and opened fire at the rapper.

The Mercedes-Benz getaway car was allegedly found three miles away from Makeda’s. This was in a residential neighborhood, as it was abandoned. The location was reportedly the Orange Mound neighborhood of South Memphis. Police soon ended up recovering it.
