Young Jeezy addresses Trayvon Martin tribute

Young Jeezy 3Early this morning, Young Jeezy reacted to the George Zimmerman verdict. All of hip hop’s elite figures have dropped their two cents about what happened. Most have expressed their support of Trayvon Martin and his family, with some reaching out directly to the family.

Some people have expressed concern, but used Trayvon Martin for their own personal gain. During the time immediately following his death, there were some clowns who were selling Trayvon Martin t-shirts for profit. Young Jeezy dropped his single, but he did not do it to prop himself, he did it to let his emotions out.

Hip hop is an artform at the end of the day and people express how they feel. Young Jeezy feels bad because of the way things turned out for Trayvon Martin’s family. He released a statement to accompany the release of the single to show that these are his genuine feelings.
