Young Jeezy feels slighted by President Obama and Political Media, talks doing another “My President is Black” song

The last time Young Jeezy released an album, Barack Obama was campaigning for President of the United States. It did not come as a shock to many when the top rappers in the game supported Obama’s bid. However, not many went as far as Young Jeezy did, creating an anthem for the Obama-Biden campaign.

During the fall of 2008, Young Jeezy released his hit single, “My President is Black,” which many felt helped Barack Obama win over the youth. While he presents himself as a street rapper, Young Jeezy closely follows the political landscape. Following the release of “My President is Black,” Young Jeezy was disappointed.

Once a fan of Dennis Miller, Young Jeezy admitted he was offended with the way he spoke of him on his show. Young Jeezy felt Miller and Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly were treating him like a “nigger.” Because of this, Young Jeezy said he no longer watches their programs. He also mentioned the possibility of recording another Obama track, as President Obama is currently campaigning for a second term. But, there are also issues with the president.

Young Jeezy said he is supporting President Obama again, but he wishes President Obama could have supported him. The Atlanta rapper said his song did a lot to benefit his campaign, but upon being elected, the president did not invite him to the White House, while Lady Gaga and others often visit the Obamas. Young Jeezy went on to say how Atlanta mayor, Kasim Reed, supports him, coming to his shows and attending his parties. Despite all of this, Young Jeezy said he holds no grudge against President Obama.
