Young Thug denied bond for fourth time in federal RICO case

Young Thug denied request for bond for fourth time

On Friday, Young Thug had another court hearing in Atlanta, regarding whether a judge would approve him for bond, in his federal RICO case. However, this was another result that did not go in Thug’s favor.

Therefore, Thug was officially denied a fourth request for bond, according to 11 Alive. A judge went on to claim that the rapper is a risk to society. In addition to Thug, fellow YSL member Yak Gotti was also denied bond.

At this point, Thug’s legal team believes that he was denied this request again  due to “mostly repeating allegations contained in the indictment.” comes after his attorney Brian Steel claimed that the rapper has health issues in jail, and that “this lifestyle has caused physical harm to Mr. Williams.” That came amid Thug being hospitalized twice, in May.

Furthermore, Thug’s legal team have claimed that he hasn’t seen sunlight, since May 9. He also supposedly only gets fresh air during the time that the doors are open on the transport to and from the Courthouse. Exercise in Thug’s cell is even said to be “limited.”

Thug and 27 other members of his YSL crew were indicted, last May. Many were able to receive plea deals at the end of 2022, including Gunna, who was released in December. Last month, both Thug and Gunna went on to release albums in back to back weeks. Meanwhile, Thug’s YSL trial was supposed to kick off in January, but jury selection has stalled that.
