Young Thug didn’t go to Hollygrove last night for #Barter6 listening session

Young Thug 7Despite initially saying he had nothing but respect for Lil Wayne, recently the world has seen Young Thug challenge his “idol.” Unintentionally, he ended up on the wrong side of Lil Wayne’s beef with Birdman. Suddenly, the Cash Money Records franchise player hates his team.

Young Thug is not on the Cash Money Records roster as an artist or a manager. Instead, he is a close affiliate, but actually signed to 300 Entertainment. Still, Young Thug reps with Cash Money Records and called out Lil Wayne for making him change his album title.

Initially out of respect to Lil Wayne, Young Thug was going to name his debut album Tha Carter VI to continue the series after Wayne’s retirement. But, when Birdman began delaying the release of Tha Carter V, it caused tension with Lil Wayne and Young Thug. This spilled over into a beef this week and Young Thug said he was going to have his album release party in Hollygrove last night, to which Wayne said he was throwing a concert there the same night, but ultimately Young Thug stayed in Atlanta.
