When Young Thug was still rising to fame, he often cited Lil Wayne as his idol/inspiration. It was a dream come true for Young Thug when he was taken under Birdman’s wing. For a year, Young Thug promoted himself alongside Cash Money Records.

Early in Young Thug’s run alongside Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne exposed Birdman for wrongdoing. Until December, Lil Wayne ranted against Birdman, often. This tension led to Young Thug dissing Wayne on his social media, even though the two did collaborate.

Young Thug goes back and forth in how he speaks on Lil Wayne. The situation seems one-sided, as Lil Wayne never responds. This afternoon, Young Thug took to Twitter, however, to question why he isn’t on the Dedication Tour that Rae Sremmurd is on.
