Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” single, featuring Future and Young Thug has been one of the biggest records of 2021, as it was released last month. It appeared on Drake’s sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” as it wasn’t even initially a lead single. Way 2 Sexy went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and CLB also debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart.
Way 2 Sexy is currently at gold status in the US, and is at number number four, on the Hot 100. In a new interview with Complex, Thug discussed the creation of this record. He revealed that in the studio, Future told Thug that he was on some “sexy s*it.” Thug also added that Future said this, after he noticed Thug had lotion on.
“I think I was fresh as hell, and that n*gga Pluto was like ‘Man, you on some sexy s*it today. You coming in with your lotion on.’ Then we started making music. He always tells me everything to do throughout a song. And it’s the same with me, I tell him everything, too.”
Fans feel that this story sounded a bit awkward, but Way 2 Sexy has been a smash hit, nonetheless. Thug also has his second studio album, “Punk,” arriving on October 15.
