Young Thug’s co-defendant gives him Percocet during trial

On January 9, Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial officially kicked off. The conclusion of week 2 is nearing, as the Atlanta rapper is now going viral for an usual moment.

According to Mark Winne and Michael Sweden of WSB-TV 2, Thug is seen secretly receiving a Percocet from one of his co-defendants. This man has since been identified as Kahlieff Adams, and is seen on surveillance conducting a “hand-to-hand” drug deal. Adams walked by Thug and his attorney, as the Percocet was soon placed in the rapper’s hand.

As a result, a deputy quickly approached Thug, as he confiscated the drug. Adams was soon searched by authorities, as they discovered Percocet, marijuana and tobacco wrapped in plastic and food seasonings. As a result, Adams also ate many of these drugs, to avoid being caught with them.

Therefore, Adams was taken to Grady Hospital. Due to this incident, a motion was filed by prosecutors to “make a finding of fact that Court was delayed on January 18, 2023 because of the actions of Defendant Williams and Defendant Adams.”

Thug and 27 other YSL members were initially listed in a 56-count indictment, last May. This included Gunna, who was released from jail last month, after entering a plea deal. Many other YSL members did so, as well. Thug isn’t receiving opportunities for pleas, due to prosecutors viewing him as the leader of YSL’s operation of crimes.
