Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk sentenced to over nine years in prison after violating probation by possessing firearm

Young Thug’s brother receives 9-year sentence for gun possession

Young Thug’s brother Quantavious Grier, aka Unfoonk’s legal issues just got much worse, after his recent probation violation. According to WSB-TV 2, he just received a prison sentence of nine years and four months. This was as a result of being found Joe possession of a gun.

“Part of the special condition was that you were not supposed to possess a gun,” said Judge Ural Glanville, on Monday. “And the state was pretty clear. I find, based upon a preponderance of the evidence, that the state has proved its case that you have violated your probation.”

Unfoonk’s attorney also asked for a revocation of two years. However, the judge cited how quickly that he was arrested, within six months of being placed on probation.

“Your attorney has asked me to consider a revocation of two years. And I certainly respect her, and I respect that you don’t know unless you ask. But the issue I find aggravating in this particular circumstance is that you got arrested with a gun within six months of you being placed on probation.”

Unfoonk was initially charged with possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, persons associated with a criminal street gang to participate in illegal activity and other minor traffic offenses. That quickly came after reaching a plea deal in the YSL case of 2022, as Young Thug is still incarcerated. Unfoonk also denied snitching allegations.
