Young Thug’s “Business Is Business” debuts at number two in US

Over a week ago, Young Thug released his first album while incarcerated, with “Business Is Business.” 17 new songs were released, including star-studded collaborations with Drake, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and more.

Meanwhile, Thug’s first week numbers are in, as it sold 89,000 units over the past week. As a result, Business Is Business has now debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, in the US, according to Chart Data. Business Is Business also just fell short of being the first hip-hop album to go number one in the US, this year. A week after the album’s release, Metro Boomin released a “Metro’s Version,” which included two new features from Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert.

Thug has been in jail since last May, as he and 27 other members of his YSL crew were hit with a huge RICO indictment. This also included Gunna. However, Gunna and many other YSL members reached plea deals last winter, and were able to be released. But Thug’s motions for bond were denied three times. Therefore, Thug’s trial was supposed to kick off in January, but that has since been delayed many times since then.
