On Friday, Young Thug delivered his highly anticipated sophomore album, “Punk.” It was initially set for a midnight release, but got delayed to 3AM. During that announcement though, Thug put out the tracklist, and it was stacked. This project featured stars such as J. Cole, Drake, Travis Scott, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, the late Juice WRLD and Mac Miller, and more.
Punk is already receiving tons of positive reviews, and now, looks like it will do well, for its first week sales. According to Chart Data, it is projected to debut in the top three, of the Billboard 200 chart. 85,000-95,000 units are what’s being expected to be posted.
Punk contained 20 tracks, and surprisingly, didn’t contain the lead single. “Tick Tock.” Nonetheless, the album has several bangers, such as “Stressed” ft. J. Cole and T-Shyne, and “Bubbly,” ft. Drake and Travis Scott.
Thug had also had a number one album in the summer, with “Slime Language 2.” This was released with Gunna, and Thug’s other YSL label artists. Punk could be Thug’s third consecutive number one album, in total, as “So Much Fun” hit the top spot, in August of 2019.
