Last December, news broke of Brick Squad rapper, Slim Dunkin being murdered. A part of the popular rap crew, many predicted Slim Dunkin to become the next breakout rap star. Hip hop mourned the loss of the young rapper and eventually there were rumors of fellow rapper, Young Vito, murdering the Brick Squad rapper.
Once rumors of Young Vito being the murderer circulated, he was arrested and held without bond. Soon, more evidence pointed at Young Vito as the person who murdered Slim Dunkin. Young Vito murdered Slim Dunkin during a recording session in an Atlanta studio on December 16, 2011.
Young Vito has been formally charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. What was initially an argument in the studio escalated to a fight and eventually ended with Young Vito shooting Slim Dunkin in the chest. Slim Dunkin was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
