HHV Artists to Know: King LeeBoy, the king of the DMV sound

On the low, the DMV Area has been winning, over the past few years. It is only now that the world is starting to pay attention. Yeah, back in the day, Wale blew up, but this new generation is more cohesive, and they have an organized sound.

Some people will hate, but Q Da Fool went from being a buzzing rapper to Jay-Z’s newest signee at Roc Nation. Now, Q Da Fool is rubbing shoulders with J. Cole and Rihanna. Not all of the credit goes to King LeeBoy, but his dope beats are definitely a part of the story.

King LeeBoy is DMV, born and bred, and he’s had a hand in the success of most of these artists. Currently, Lil Zay is making a lot of noise and LeeBoy is big in that, as he also has worked with the likes of superstar, Fat Trel. But, his movement isn’t just DMV-based, Ralo, Kevin Gates, Montana of 300, and many other big names have reached out to him, plus he has a project that he just put out, not too long ago.
