HHV On The Rise: Zach Mitchell

By Stranga The Great

Giving Zach Mitchell a closer look and many people may know him from being on several TV shows. Many of the rules that were believed to be mandatory, in the industry, have changed. It used to be that rappers got big and then became actors.

But, Aubrey Graham, of “Degrassi” fame, leaving the show to pursue his career, as Drake, changed things. Now, Drake is the most-popular rapper in the game. A similar path was taken by Donald Glover, who became Childish Gambino.

Zach Mitchell is now making a transition not too different from those artists. Currently, his music is going viral, and he has decent buzz. So, he took time out to do an On The Rise interview, and discuss where things are headed.

Read the entire interview below:

How do you see yourself making the transition from being a TV star to being a major figure in the music game? I’m not really sure how it will go. It’s all God’s plan, for me, so we’ll all find out together.

When it comes to that kind of transition, do you see Drake as the template to follow? Yeah, you could say that. But, I got some other things in mind to add on to that blueprint.

As your career progresses, you’d probably want to get back into acting, so is that something you keep in mind, as you’re making your moves? Yeah, definitely. Acting and visual arts are some of my favorite things to do, so it’s a must. I put acting on pause to focus more on music, but if that major role called for me to act. I will still do both! That’s the artistry of being an artist.

So far, you’ve been promoting your single, “Sauce.” Are you pleased with the song’s performance? Yeah I’m pretty pleased with it, support has been great. I still got some more to go with it though, it’s just getting started.

What’s it been like, doing such shows as “Girl Meets World” and “Modern Family,” working alongside Ben Savage and Ed O’Neill? It’s was pretty fun. But, being that I was younger, I didn’t really care about who I was working with, you know? I was just glad to be working.

Can you tell us the Mary J. Blige music video you made the cameo in? I was in the “Each Tear” music video when I was like 10.

When it comes to your music, what should fans expect from you, as the summer is on the horizon? My fans can expect straight slappers. All bangers. Trust me. My few fans that I have now already know every song be some heat. We just gotta get more fans.
