Sashi Live has exceeded all expectations at this year’s event! Providing an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts despite last-minute artist cancellations. Known for its diverse mix of international and local talent, the festival demonstrated resilience and a strong commitment to celebrating Jamaican music and culture.
Although Busta Rhymes and Keyshia Cole were unable to perform, Sashi Live thrilled audiences with electrifying performances from a remarkable lineup. Grammy-winning R&B star NE-YO, famous for hits like “So Sick” and “Miss Independent,” captivated the crowd with his smooth vocals and engaging stage presence. Paying tribute to Jamaican music, he honored Vybz Kartel and Spice’s iconic “Ramping Shop,” acknowledging its influence on his own music. Rapper Jadakiss, known for his energetic anthems like “Why,” brought a high-energy performance to the stage. Surprise guest performer and host Wyclef Jean, the Grammy-winning Fugees icon and solo artist, added his unique blend of hip-hop, reggae, and world music, even mingling with the crowd to celebrate with fans.
Sashi Live Experience Shares The Jamaican Roster That Shut Down The Stage!
The Jamaican artists shone brightly at the festival. Dancehall legend Bounty Killer, a multiple Grammy nominee, delivered a masterful performance, showcasing his decades of experience. His passionate statement that his musical fraternity, The Alliance, had created more millionaires than any political party, resonated strongly with the audience, earning thunderous applause. Rising stars like Valiant, Skeng, Rajah Wild, and 10Tik also delivered standout performances, energizing the crowd with their infectious songs. Comedic duo Negus Imara and Bobby Sox entertained the audience between sets. While Refugee Sound provided a vibrant soundtrack throughout the night. Despite initial delays caused by heavy rains, the festival triumphed, proving its resilience and dedication to providing top-tier entertainment. Sashi Festival founder Horatio Hamilton expressed his pride in the event:

While we understand the disappointment regarding the artist cancellations, as per our ticket policy, no refunds will be issued. The Sashi Fashion Show Slays The Runway
In addition to the fun-filled night, the Sashi Fashion Show made a grand return this year! In doing so, it reignited its legacy as the kickoff event for the Sashi Weekend. After a two-decade hiatus, the show showcased the incredible talent within Jamaica’s fashion industry, drawing significant support and attention. This year’s event highlighted Sashi’s vision of creating a platform that showcases Dancehall’s diverse talent pool. Including designers, DJs, artists, and sound systems. The show featured acclaimed designers such as Earl “Biggy” Turner, Uzuri International, and Cooyah.
The evening included a stunning presentation by Cooyah, known for their urban street fashion and swimwear. Their collection brought vibrant energy to the runway, embodying the spirit of Jamaican fashion. This year’s Sashi Fashion Show also saw the return of Dermoth Williams at Uzuri International, known for their regal female formal wear. Their collection, featuring the current hopefuls of Miss Universe Jamaica, showcased the evolving inclusivity of the competition. Uzuri International commented, “This year’s Miss Universe Jamaica competition is historic, with older women, mothers, grandmothers, and married women now eligible to compete. Having our designs showcased by these diverse and inspiring contestants was a proud moment for us“.
