One of Detroit’s brightest stars, shares his new world with fans everywhere. Covering the front of Essence Magazine’s May/June cover is none other than Big Sean. The digital cover feature premiered this week, with fans in awe of Big Sean’s good looks, vulnerability and incredible fashion sense. In addition to gracing the cover, Big Sean took a moment to reveal some of his thoughts on fatherhood and wanting to play a superhero.
Big Sean is a music artist that changed the delivery of rap & hip-hop. The Detroit native bursted on the scene as an artist under Kanye West record label GOOD Music. His debut studio album Finally Famous peaked at number 3 on the billboard 200. Some of Big Sean’s biggest hits are “Dance” remix with Nicki Minaj, “My Last”, Blessing” featuring Drake and Kanye West. Other notable singles include “Play No Games” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Chris Brown and “Bounce Back”.
Although his last release was Detroit 2 in 2020, Big Sean doesn’t seem too worried about music. After celebrating the birth of his first child, a son with Jhene Aiko Big Sean took time to focus on a healthy lifestyle. In his interview with Essence, he speaks about having fun with music and how he battled with his mental health.
