Jordan Poole upsets Wizards fans for rolling ball up court
Jordan Poole is one of the most controversial players in the NBA. After being an unsung hero in the title run for the Warriors in 2022, Poole was blamed for the 2023 implosion. As a result, he wound up traded to the Washington Wizards. While Poole definitely is controversial, the Warriors’ continued struggles show he wasn’t the only problem. That said, he made many Wizards fans mad, last night, when he rolled the ball up the court.
Jordan Poole was a standout player for the Warriors. Because of his contributions, he wanted a bigger role with the team. However, the Warriors still wanted to build around Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. A role for Poole would mean diminishing either Klay or Draymond. The Warriors wanted Poole to remain a sixth man. So, the trade to the Wizards allowed Poole to become a top two scoring option.
Jordan Poole ended up living up to the worst expectations, last night. The Wizards were hosting the new-look Milwaukee Bucks, who are coming into their own. Damian Lillard is getting comfortable with his new team. As a result, they are starting to blow their weaker opponents out. They had Washington down by ten points, late, last night. In front of the home crowd, Poole rolled the ball up the court. His hope was to save time on the clock. However, the clock was still ticking, as the Wizards took the home loss.
