2 Chainz drops Million Dollars Worth of Game video with 42 Dugg
Ten years ago, 2 Chainz was in the process of taking over the game. For years, he was signed to Ludacris’ DTP Records, as one half of Playaz Circle. After seven years on the label, 2 Chainz, who was then known as Tity Boi, was best-known for “Duffle Bag Boy,” Playaz Circle’s breakout hit, featuring Lil Wayne. Four years later, he went on his own run.
2 Chainz went on a run and bought out his DTP contract. Almost immediately, 2 Chainz signed a joint venture with Def Jam. At the same time, he began a close association with Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music, who also was a Def Jam partner. Together, he collaborated on the hit singles, “Mercy,” which was on Kanye’s Cruel Summer G.O.O.D. Music compilation, and his own single, “Birthday Song.”
In 2012, 2 Chainz took over the rap game, and owned it with Based on a True Story. The following year, he dropped B.O.A.T.S. 2, to lesser fanfare, and after an EP release in 2014, 2 Chainz took a hiatus. Back in 2017, he forged a minor comeback, scoring a minor hit with “It’s A Vibe.” Then, in 2019, he had another minor hit, in “Rule the World,” with Ariana Grande.
At the end of 2020, 2 Chainz dropped his most-recent album, So Help Me God. Currently, he is working on Dope Don’t Sell Itself, and dropped the single, “Million Dollars Worth of Game.” The song features rising Detroit star, 42 Dugg, that’s 4-2 Dugg.
