50 Cent is bringing a remake of a classic movie to the television screen. In a new interview with BigBoyTV, 50 Cent shares he is remaking the Eminem movie 8 Mile into a TV show. During the interview he describes the vision behind the series, referencing the Bel-Air remake for its modern appeal. 50 Cent refers to Eminem as his mentor, speaking on their relationship and his impact on music.

In the early 2000’s 50 Cent dominated hip-hop music with a unique sound and look. After signing to Eminem’s label Shady Records under Dr.Dre, he quickly became a household name in music. His first album Get Rich or Die Trying was a commercial success and certified platinum nine times by the RIAA. Taking over the hip-hop and rap genre, he founded G-Unit Records, signing Young Buck, Llyod Banks and Tony Yayo. Continuing to break records, he surpassed 1 billion views on Youtube in 2022 and won a PrimeTime Emmy for his performance at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.

Although a top artist in music, 50 Cent took his talents behind the scenes as a co-producer for the television series “Power.” The show was a huge success, leading 50 Cent to produce other shows like “BMF.” Describing the 8 Mile series as impactful, he plans to share Eminem’s legacy with new generations. There is currently no release date available.
