It is hard to believe Ace Hood is only twenty-five years old, as long as he has been around, doing music with the biggest stars in the game. DJ Khaled took over the hip hop scene in 2007 and soon landed a deal with Def Jam that included his own vanity label. It ended up leading to the formation of We The Best Music Group and Ace Hood.

The flagship artist of We The Best Music Group, Ace Hood released his Gutta debut album in 2008. Since then, Ace Hood has played the background role to DJ Khaled’s frequent collaborators, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. But, the decision to make Ace Hood an official member of Cash Money Records has paid off.

DJ Khaled moved We The Best Music Group to Def Jam last summer and Ace Hood now has one of the hottest singles out in “Bugatti.” Featuring Future and Rick Ross, many are being reintroduced to Ace Hood. Only five months into 2013, Ace Hood has a big year planned, but has never been a pushover in his time in the game.

In celebration of Ace Hood’s twenty-fifth birthday that took place yesterday, Hip Hop Vibe will briefly reflect on the music he has put out over the past five years.
