His efforts also got the Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history, not counting the Hawks’ previous incarnations.
Al Horford joined a rising Boston Celtics’ team in 2016. The Celtics returned to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2012. For Horford, it meant facing and losing to LeBron again, something he and the Celtics have in common. In 2018, it was more of the same. Since 2020, the Celtics have faced losing to the Heat in the East Finals. Last night, the Celtics blew Miami out to tie the series at 2-2. When Al Horford had his moment with Caleb Martin, his celebration was the most.
