Ari Lennox says she was mistreated by Rod Wave fans on his tour
On Sunday, Ari Lennox opened up about recently performing on Rod Wave’s Nostalgia Tour, last fall. In this Instagram Live session, she revealed that she was mistreated by Rod’s fans during her opening set, and how many fans even tried to touch her then, as well. Moreover, the R&B star even referenced seeing artists such as Rico Nasty receive this treatment as an opening artist as well, which took place while opening up for Playboi Carti.
“I get why it does not makes sense to open up for anybody. I watched it with Rico Nasty. There’s a certain type of fan base that you’re like, literally aggressive.”
This information by Ari Lennox also comes after she released her only single of 2023, in November. That was “Get Close,” which received plenty of praise by fans on social media. That record came a year and a half after the release of the Dreamville artist’s “Away Message” EP and “age/sex/location” album.
