Ben Simmons laughs at Andre Drummond traveling and scoring
Last night, the Brooklyn Nets did what they had to do. All season, the Nets have struggled. Initially projected to win the title, the Nets are a play-in team. Much of this is due to external situations. Due to restrictions, Kyrie Irving wasn’t allowed to play until mid-season. Kevin Durant went through an injury, and then James Harden requested a trade. Briefly, the Nets were ten games over .500 and number one in the East.
Nearly every team in the East has spent time as the top seed this season. After the Nets gave up the top spot, Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat took it over. The Heat have dominated this season, even with injuries. Miami has led the East for virtually the entire season. Until lately, they have done extremely well, going into Phoenix and beating the Suns. Recently, the Miami Heat have been going through a late season meltdown. During their loss to the Warriors, Jimmy Butler nearly fought Erik Spoelstra and Udonis Haslem.
If the Brooklyn Nets were to be taken seriously, they needed to beat the Miami Heat. Not only did Brooklyn beat Miami, they embarrassed them. Kevin Durant is finally healthy and Kyrie Irving can finally play in home games. When 100%, Brooklyn was the NBA’s best team. James Harden is gone, Ben Simmons is here, and Andre Drummond hilariously traveled. The refs didn’t call it, letting him score, and Ben Simmons was laughing.
