Big KRIT returns with So Cool video

In 2010, Big K.R.I.T. began commanding a huge presence, going viral online. He caught the attention of Def Jam, who wasted no time signing him. Representing Mississippi, Big K.R.I.T. was hailed as one of the top lyricists in the game. At a time when rap lyrics were at all-time lows, K.R.I.T. was the one destined to bring it back.

After spending five years on Def Jam, Big K.R.I.T. left the label, speaking with “The Breakfast Club” about that choice. Since then, K.R.I.T. has released music through his own label, Multi Alumni. Though he has his own label, it’s more about independence than it is K.R.I.T. trying to be a major executive. He just wants more control over his own music.

Big K.R.I.T. released his last album, A Style Not Quite Free, last summer. But, K.R.I.T. is already back with new music for the people. The thing about an artist is that they’re always working, so when they return with music, they’ve already had it. Delivering his first release since the album, Big K.R.I.T. returns with his single, “So Cool,” dropping the video. Trinidad James makes a cameo in the video.
