BlocBoy JB releases celebratory Home Alone music video

Four years ago, BlocBoy JB emerged, seemingly out of nowhere, with “Look Alive.” Boasting Drake on the record, BlocBoy JB had a huge moment on this single. Drake voluntarily took the year of 2017 off and returned at the beginning of 2018 with the biggest hit of the year. This left BlocBoy JB both the biggest rising rapper in the game and the hottest rapper, period.

When the song dropped, Drake immediately began trending on Twitter, with his hook. For the first few months of 2018, BlocBoy JB was dominating the radio. However, in the years since then, he has seen his popularity experience a bit of a downturn. None of this is to take away from what BlocBoy JB has accomplished. But, when his debut single was a Drake feature, it was always tough to overcome.

BlocBoy JB is jumping on 2022 early, the same way he did 2018. He begins the year with the release of his single, “Home Alone.” Dropping the video for the song, this is the introduction to his latest project. He is currently working on Bacc 2 Da Block, with Tay Keith. Their joint effort actually drops on January 26.
