In 2000, Boosie launched his career, as a rapper, but wouldn’t rise to fame until 2006. Late in the fall of 2006, his single, “Zoom,” took over the radio. Established as a star, Boosie was considered a one hit wonder, on the mainstream level. But, locally, he is considered to be a legend, and some have even said he is the Tupac of Baton Rouge.

Boosie also went through his murder trial, which led to his imprisonment. From 2009 until 2014, he was in prison, where he stayed for almost five years. When he returned, he returned with new music releases, but his music didn’t connect the same. He had his single, “Show The World,” and had the official remix, which featured K. Michelle. In the years since then, he has dominated social media.

A couple of years ago, Boosie was always getting into controversy for sharing wild parties on Instagram. But, over the past year, he’s become known for his outspoken comments about members of the LGBTQ+ community. Last summer, Boosie actually ended falling for Lil Nas X’s trolling, and was embroiled in the beef with him. Now, he’s returned with the video for his single, “My Eyes Hurt.”
