Boosie brings out Big Boogie at Boosie Bash concert
Boosie celebrates his hometown by bringing out one of Memphis’s hottest stars. Last weekend the fourth Annual Boosie Bash took place in Boosie’s hometown of Baton Rouge. This event brings out fans from all over the South, with ages ranging from eighteen to forty. This year Boosie brought out Big Boogie to perform in what is now a viral video of the two together. Fans blasted social media with a video of Boosie joining Big Boogie on stage to perform the viral “pop out” TikTok dance. Boosie was all smiles as Big Boogie’s crew held him with the crowd cheering louder than the music.
Big Boogie is having an incredible run in music. Releasing singles since 2017, he signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG label in 2020. Although he was already making major noise in the south, it wasn’t until his 2021 Underrated album that he reached viral success. The album is currently sitting at 7 million streams and has inspired several TikTok dances including the “pop out” and “homegirl” challenges. Further adding to the influence of Southern rap, Big Boogie along with label mates GloRilla and Moneybagg Yo are taking the hip-hop world by storm.
Boosie did not list any of the performers for the Boosie Bash, which made Big Boogie’s appearance a huge surprise for fans. Both Boosie and Big Boogie expressed gratitude via Instagram on the success of the event.
