A rapper who deserves more props is Caskey. Long before Florida cities outside of Miami began receiving attention, in hip hop, Caskey was holding Orlando down. While he wasn’t the first major rapper from the city to gain recognition, he has consistently held it down. In 2012, Caskey began building momentum, alongside other rappers in the city.

Caskey ended up building solid buzz and he signed with Cash Money Records. During that span of time, Cash Money was the biggest label in rap. This was when Lil Wayne was still popular and Drake was taking over the game. Meanwhile, the label also had other labels signed that had artists taking over the game.

It’s unclear what Caskey’s current label situation is. As late as 2016, he was still signed to Cash Money, but that’s been six years ago. The Orlando rapper, whatever his situation may be, is still out here making moves. To begin 2022, he released his new single, “Don’t Post Us On The Internet.” This comes a whole decade after originally being signed. Few rappers last this long when rising.
