For close to a week, the Phoenix Suns looked like they would win the NBA championship. This meant, after sixteen years, Chris Paul would finally win an NBA title. But, the Suns took four straight hard losses to the Milwaukee Bucks, led by strong play from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Chris Paul has become a journeyman, but he originally put the New Orleans Hornets and LA Clippers on the map. It was his play that made the Clippers a respectable franchise. After being traded to the Houston Rockets, Paul helped lead them to their most regular season wins ever.
In the 2020 offseason, Chris Paul signed with the Phoenix Suns, immediately pairing with Devin Booker. Together, they led the Suns to the NBA Finals, defeating Paul’s former team, the Clippers, to get there, but would lose to the Milwaukee Bucks. After the Game 6 loss, Paul spoke to the media about losing the Finals, but said he’s not retiring.
