Two of the most controversial rappers in the game joined forces for a new project. DaBaby spent all of 2021 fighting being cancelled. NBA Youngboy spent most of 2021 being incarcerated. Most people are over DaBaby’s drama. Meanwhile, NBA Youngboy is a free man. The two have celebrated by releasing their joint album, Better Than You.

DaBaby is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. He began his career on the local mixtape scene. Back then, he was known as “Baby Jesus.” While he was big on the local scene, DaBaby wasn’t known on a national level. This changed when he went to SXSW wearing a diaper. From the second half of 2017 into early 2019, DaBaby went from a virtual unknown to being the biggest star in the game.

NBA Youngboy, meanwhile, is from Baton Rouge, and he rose to viral stardom. In 2016, Atlantic Records signed him and NBA Youngboy put the game on notice. He, too, is one of the biggest rappers in the game and he is the most popular rapper on YouTube. Last week, DaBaby and NBA Youngboy released the music video for the “Neighborhood Superstar” single. Better Than You is out now.
