James Harden, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey hold Danny Green back from ref | Sixers at Raptors | Game 3 | 2022 NBA Playoffs [VIDEO]

Danny Green almost attacked the ref and was held back
Danny Green is a prized journeyman who has played for several contending teams. With the Philadelphia 76ers having Green as a role player, it shows how serious they are. The Philadelphia 76ers have come a long way, but have a long way to go. By 2012, the Sixers became a perennial playoff contender, but had nothing to show for it. From 2008 until 2012, the Sixers had four playoff appearances, but only one playoff series victory. Derrick Rose’s 2012 injury is the only reason the Sixers upset the Bulls in 2012.
However, the 2012 Philadelphia 76ers pushed the Boston Celtics to a Game 7 in the second round. Still, the Sixers weren’t contending for a championship. Because of that, the Sixers decided to break their team up and tank for draft picks. From 2012-2016, the Sixers were called “The Process,” and this span of time saw them draft Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Conventional wisdom said Ben Simmons was the franchise player, while Embiid was the defensive anchor.
Joel Embiid proved himself to be the franchise player in the 2019 playoffs. After last year’s second round upset loss to the Hawks, the Sixers are playing focused. Playing the Toronto Raptors once again, the Sixers are seizing the moment. Philadelphia gave themselves a chance to win and they took it. But, Danny Green lost it against a ref. It took Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey to stop him from derailing his postseason.
