Danny Green joined the Philadelphia 76ers after their disappointing 2020 playoff trip. Green was considered to be the final piece the Sixers needed. Built around Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, the Sixers won the East’s first seed. The accomplishment was impressive, seeing how the Sixers managed to beat out the Brooklyn Nets for the top spot. Brooklyn had their “Big 3” of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden.

Danny Green has a ton of championship experience. Green won NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Lakers. In 2019, Danny Green played for the Toronto Raptors, when they broke the Sixers’ heart in Game 7. A year and a half later, Danny Green won the bubble championship when his Lakers defeated the Miami Heat. Now, a year and a half after that, Green is playing for the Sixers, and facing the Heat, trying to force a Game 7.

Danny Green was taken out of commission early in Game 6. The Miami Heat have struggled against the Sixers, in Philadelphia, this series. After Miami went up 2-0 at home, some said the Heat may sweep the Sixers. When Joel Embiid showed back up and the Sixers tied it at 2-2, many felt Philly may win the series. Unfortunately, Embiid landed on Green, leading to the team carrying him off the floor.
