Danny Green falls into James Harden and airballs 3 pointer

Last season, the Philadelphia 76ers had the best record in the Eastern Conference. In the playoffs, the Sixers were upset by the Atlanta Hawks, led by incredible play from Trae Young. The Hawks managed to steal Game 7 in Philadelphia, before falling to the Milwaukee Bucks, who won the title. This season, the Sixers were expected to return to contention. Ben Simmons’ refusal to play slowed the Sixers, but Joel Embiid stepped up his play to put Philly back in the conversation.

However, the Miami Heat have been the success story of the East. Two years ago, the Heat laid the blueprint for the Atlanta Hawks of 2021. The Miami Heat upset their way to the NBA Finals and came within two wins of the 2020 NBA title. Jimmy Butler, in his first year on the team, led the Heat to the title. After a first round sweep, last season, Butler’s Heat have risen to contention, and now hold the top seed in the East.

Not only are the Heat holding the East’s top spot, this season, they are playing their best basketball. Last night, the Heat hosted the Philadelphia 76ers. James Harden didn’t play, so the Sixers were shorthanded coming into the game. Jimmy Butler’s crew came in and got the job done, blowing the Sixers out. In the game, Danny Green started in Harden’s place. At one point, Danny Green fell into James Harden, and later airballed a three pointer, later in the game.
