The 2021-22 NBA season is coming to a close. This was a very special NBA season, as the full 82 game schedule was played for the first time in three years. Add to that, this year was the NBA’s 75th season. A rare occurrence took place this season. For the first time in decades, the NBA’s Eastern Conference was more competitive than the NBA’s Western Conference.

While the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies dominated the NBA, the East produced the most winning teams. In the East, the seedings are almost locked in. The Heat, Bucks, Celtics, 76ers, Raptors, and Bulls are the top six seeds. Their playoff spots are secured, while the play-in will consist of the Nets, Cavs, Hawks, and Hornets. Any of these teams could overtake the seventh spot.

Tonight, the Brooklyn Nets took care of business at home. Kyrie Irving faced his original team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. These days, Darius Garland is the man in Cleveland, and he had the Cavs playing their best ball since the 2016 Finals this year. Unfortunately, Garland had to deal with Kyrie Irving falling on his head. As a result, Darius Garland took an injury.
