DDG continues to push to the top with Storyteller video
DDG happens to be one of more than a handful of Detroit rappers blowing up. Over the past year, DDG has seen his career skyrocket. Locally, DDG proved himself to be a big deal, but local is one thing, and national is another. When DDG saw his career blow up, it wasn’t long before he found himself signed to a major label.
DDG was born in the era where rappers made a lot of money. All of the money was not just record sales, either. In addition to record sales, rappers began making money by starting their own record labels. A few years ago, there was a lot said about the death of rapper-owned labels. Recently, rapper owned labels, and boutique hip hop labels have had a resurgence.
DDG, meanwhile, has come with new music and is keeping his audience treated. Last week, DDG dropped the music video for his single, “Storyteller.” The latest from DDG is released via his own label, Zooted Music, and his longtime label home of Epic Records. In addition to this, DDG is going on his North American tour later this summer.
