It’s hard to believe it’s already been five years since the legendary Michael Jackson passed away. The man was a musical genius ahead of his time and it was sad to see him go. Five years have gone by since Michael Jackson died and the world still hasn’t gotten over him and his music.
Old school fans always hoped Michael Jackson would come back and take over the game once again. They got their wish, as MJ has been on top of the game for the past five years, peaking with the “Love Never Felt So Good” single. Unfortunately, Michael Jackson died before he could see his return to prominence.
Every year, Hip Hop Vibe honors Michael Jackson during the Wednesday Throwback, but this year we decided to scale it back a bit. No matter what was in, Michael Jackson always had pull and he showed both his creative vision and his connections with the “Remember The Time” music video. The song was the chart-topping single off his 1991 album, Dangerous, cameos come from Eddie Murphy, Magic Johnson, Iman, Tom “Tiny” Lister, Jr., and more celebrities of the time.
