DJ YRS Jerzy’s Wednesday Throwback: The Notorious B.I.G. ft. 112 – “Sky’s The Limit”

When the decision was made to launch the “Wednesday Throwback,” the original intent was to focus on artists who had hits back in the day. It seems like everybody covers deceased legends, Biggie and Tupac, when there is so much more. But, it was during this time, sixteen years ago, when The Notorious B.I.G. died.

Yes, everybody has done Biggie and Tupac tributes and they still do. That goes to show the type of impact they had, and continue to have, on hip hop as the culture continues to move forward. Because of this and the fact of Biggie’s death being on March 9, the decision was made to tribute him this week.

There are a lot of songs from Biggie to choose from, but “Sky’s The Limit” is probably one of the most-motivational songs in hip hop. Though the song is mostly about Biggie and his rise to fame, the message is true for anybody with a dream. So, featuring 112, here is “Sky’s The Limit” by The Notorious B.I.G.
