Donovan Mitchell looks like he wants to cry after missing game winning shot vs Warriors | Jazz at Warriors [VIDEO]

Donovan Mitchell looks sad after missing game winner vs Warriors

Last night, the Utah Jazz looked to be the latest team to take advantage of the Golden State Warriors. Since the 2019 NBA Finals, the Warriors have struggled. Injuries prevented the Warriors from winning the championship. Furthermore, they lost Kevin Durant in free agency, and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson missed a lot of time in 2020. Actually, Klay Thompson didn’t play from the 2019 Finals until January of this year.

Stephen Curry, meanwhile, has held the Warriors down since his 2020 return. Last season, Steph Curry willed the Warriors into playoff contention. Curry, by himself, led the Warriors into the play-in tournament, where LeBron James ended their playoff hopes. Entering this season, Steph Curry and his young supporting cast had the Warriors tied with the Phoenix Suns for the NBA’s best record. Since those identical 25-6 starts, the teams have gone in opposite directions.

The Warriors went from comfortably holding the second seed to falling to the fourth seed. Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have slipped to the sixth spot, after holding the fourth seed for most of the season. With Klay Thompson back, but Steph Curry out, the Warriors have struggled. For most of last night’s game, the Utah Jazz dominated the Warriors. An 18-0 in the fourth quarter got Golden State the win, and Donovan Mitchell missed a clutch shot.
