Draymond Green missing that time is what people say ruined the Warriors’ season. Prior to Draymond going down, the Warriors had the NBA’s best record. Despite having the same record as the Phoenix Suns, the Warriors had a 2-1 lead in the season series. All of that came to an end, when Draymond Green got injured. What made it worse was that Klay Thompson finally came back, after missing nearly three years, due to injury.
The Warriors have had Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all play this season. However, the Warriors only had them on the floor together for nine minutes. While the Phoenix Suns took over the NBA, and the Memphis Grizzlies did the same, the Warriors struggled. It looked like the Golden State Warriors would hold onto the second seed. Instead, the Warriors slipped to fourth, before barely beating the Mavericks for the third seed.
Last night, the Warriors hosted the third seeded Denver Nuggets in the first round. Steph Curry came off the bench and had a huge moment, but Draymond Green also did his thing. When Steph couldn’t get open, Draymond Green had to call his own shot. Draymond Green drained a three pointer right in Nikola Jokic’s face. Afterward, Draymond Green did a celebration in Nikola Jokic’s face, openly making fun of the reigning MVP.
