The first part of “Empire” season two was amazing and it continued to break records. Hopefully, the world will soon come to appreciate what urban entertainment has to offer. There is much more to the world, but credit is due, especially where “Empire” is concerned.
When “Empire” returned for season two, Lucious (Terrence Howard) was in prison for murder. Being in prison put him in close quarters with his former boss, Frank Gathers (Chris Rock). Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) informed on Frank to get out and he planned retaliation.
Lucious and Frank remained on good terms, but Frank had plans of offing Cookie and the kids. This, Lucious had a problem with and he let his former boss known before Frank cockily tried to show the Lyon leader who’s boss. Calmly, Lucious broke down the difference between a hustler and a man who truly runs the world and turned the tables on poor Frank.
