Through the Lakers’ franchise history, they have lured the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal, Pau Gasol, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis. These guys were brought over, either via trades or in free agency. Since 2012, the Lakers have “struggled,” not living up to their previous standards. Despite the struggles, the Lakers still have a recent championship.
Already, the Lakers have more championships than any other NBA franchise. Entering this season, the Lakers looked like they’d add one more. Instead, the Lakers struggled while the Suns, Grizzlies, Warriors, Mavericks, Jazz, and Nuggets dominated. The Lakers even struggled against teams like the Pelicans and Spurs. In the Lakers’ final game of the season, they beat the Denver Nuggets. Even that game had a tense moment, which shows that other teams hate the Lakers.
