Gervonta Davis is without a doubt one of the best boxers in the game as he stands at an undefeated 23-0 record. The Baltimore native is now getting himself into some legal issues after an incident involving his baby mama, Dretta, during Super Bowl weekend in Miami.

Davis was at a celebrity basketball game with Dretta when all of a sudden, he aggressively grabbed her by the neck and dragged her tot he back of the venue. Sadly, nobody said a word to him as this escalated. He ended up being arrested and booked into jail after turning himself into the Coral Gables Police Department. Davis was charged with simple battery.

According to court documents received by The Blast, Davis has now been ordered to stay away from Dretta. Police have since released a statement regarding the order.

“As a result of an ongoing investigation after being notified through social media and the victim, on February 1, 2020, (Davis) was observed battering his former girlfriend (with) whom have a child together,” Coral Gables police said in a statement. “(Davis) surrendered himself to Coral Gables police detectives assigned to the case.”

Based on the video, police saw that Davis “pulled his arm back and then forward towards the victim, which is consistent with a strike to the face where the victim sustained injuries to her lip and left jaw.” Dretta has since reportedly given police a statement about the incident.

Davis has since spoken out saying that he was aggressive and told her to come on but he would never hurt the mother of his child. This isn’t a good look for Davis at all considering the fact that since he’s a boxer, his hands are registered weapons.
