Giannis jumps out of the way so DeMar DeRozan avoids hurting his ankle

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a fan favorite in the NBA. While Giannis isn’t for everybody, he is entertaining both on and off the court. A first of his kind, Giannis is classified as a “point center.” At center, Giannis can legitimately run the floor, and shoot from anywhere on the court. Just Giannis’ game alone makes him a fun player to watch. Off the court, Giannis has become known for his “dad jokes,” which have headlines of their own.

Giannis made a commitment to the Milwaukee Bucks and he’s honored it. No, Giannis wasn’t the Bucks’ ideal choice for a franchise player. The Bucks took a chance on Giannis and he cracked their rotation within two years. Nobody expected Giannis to become the team’s best player, just a year later. Giannis went from a rotation player to leading the Bucks to the NBA’s best record. This jump from Giannis saw him win two MVPs, and lead the Bucks to the 2021 title over Phoenix.

Giannis is now competing for the Bucks’ second straight championship. Playing the Chicago Bulls in the first round, the series was tied 1-1. When Giannis was guarding DeMar DeRozan, he could have actually injured him. DeMar DeRozan went for a jump shot over Giannis, whose feet were in DeRozan’s foot space. Had DeMar DeRozan come down on Giannis’ feet, he could have hurt his ankles. However, Giannis jumped back, as DeMar DeRozan was landing.
