Grayson Allen blocks Patrick Williams’ dunk attempt

Grayson Allen was the X factor that unlocked the Milwaukee Bucks last night. With so much action, this season, people overlook the Bucks being the defending world champions. Even more, Grayson Allen is forgotten as a member of the team. This year, NBA fans have been wrapped up in the Phoenix Suns’ amazing season, the Golden State Warriors’ resurgence, Ja Morant’s MVP-caliber season, the Dallas Mavericks’ emergence, the Utah Jazz meltdown, the Brooklyn Nets/Philadelphia 76ers’ drama, and finally, the Miami Heat.

Silently, the Milwaukee Bucks have been holding it together. Giannis and Khris Middleton didn’t make much noise, this season. Instead, the Bucks executed and won games. Even with a quiet season, the Bucks held the East’s top record for a time. At the end of the season, the Bucks had a chance to win the first seed. In the end, the Bucks wound up with the third seed. For most of the season, the Chicago Bulls had the first seed. However, the Bulls fell to sixth, while the Bucks earned third. Game 2 saw Khris Middleton get injured, as Chicago stole home court.

Last night, the Bucks / Bulls series shifted to Chicago. All day, people wondered who Giannis would get help from. Giannis has been making a lot of history, over the past three years. In 2019 and 2020, Giannis won the season MVP. Then, Giannis won the Finals MVP, and the title in 2021. Now Giannis is trying to go back-to-back. With Khris Middleton out, Grayson Allen stepped up to keep the dream alive. Grayson got it going early, when he blocked Patrick Williams going up for the dunk.
