Hard to believe this week is already over, but it is and it’s been a very interesting one, but it started off in a big way. Currently, Beyonce is owning the radio, once again, with her remix of “Flawless,” featuring Nicki Minaj. Two of the biggest women in the game coming together was big for hip hop.
A lot of talk centered around the verse Nicki Minaj laid on the “Flawless” remix. Some talk made it sound as if she was going at Lil’ Kim, something she discussed on “The Breakfast Club,” causing a big stir. All of this helped to build even more buzz surrounding the already-popular record.
Because it’s Beyonce and Nicki Minaj on the same track, “Flawless” was already a big record. But, given the momentum the record has had and the success of the music video, it deserved at least one more look. Hip Hop Vibe decided to give them that look, making “Flawless” the Video of the Week.
