In his career, Isaiah Thomas has had one of the most unique journeys. The final draft pick, Isaiah Thomas was a great role player, early in his career. On a Sacramento Kings team filled with potential, Isaiah Thomas showed flashes of potential. It was clear Isaiah Thomas could become a star. After a brief stint with the Phoenix Suns, Isaiah Thomas was traded to the Boston Celtics, where he became a star. In 2017, Isaiah Thomas had an MVP-caliber season, which is when it all changed.
Leading the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals, Isaiah Thomas injured his hip. The injury was worse than what Thomas was told it was. From there, Isaiah Thomas became a journeyman, and ended up out of the NBA. Isaiah Thomas has struggled to stay with a team, as he went from a franchise player to just being a role player. The struggling Charlotte Hornets called him up and IT has been a savior for the Hornets’ 2022 season, as he’s been a great mentor to LaMelo Ball.
Heading into Brooklyn to play the Nets, few people expected the Hornets to win. After all, the Nets blew the Hornets out, during their last meeting, and Kyrie Irving dropped 50 points. On top of that, the Nets blew out the Miami Heat, during their last game. None of that mattered, as the Hornets rallied to get a win over the Nets, in Brooklyn. During the game, Isaiah Thomas collided with Kevin Durant and knocked him to the ground.
