Today, the Houston Rockets played their last game of the 2022 season. The 65-17 season seems like an eternity ago, as the Rockets entered today’s game tied for the NBA’s worst record. Jalen Green’s team came into the game at 20-61. Despite this, the Houston Rockets are viewed as one of the league’s most promising teams. Many people also call the Rockets an exciting team to watch, as Jalen Green keeps getting better.
The Houston Rockets were hosting the Atlanta Hawks, who have had a whirlwind season. Last season, the Hawks got hot late and wound up within two wins of the NBA Finals. Hawks fans believe a healthy Trae Young could have also upset the Bucks and beaten the Phoenix Suns. This year, the Hawks struggled, while the Phoenix Suns got increasingly better. However, the Hawks proved to be a good team by salvaging their season, and finishing with a play-in spot.
Entering today’s game, the Hawks had pressure to win, as the Charlotte Hornets were also playing. Their games were at the same time. Thankfully, the Hawks had the luxury of playing the Rockets. While it ended up being an easy Atlanta win, Jalen Green scored 40 points. At the end of the game, Jalen Green’s emotions clearly got the best of him. Meanwhile, the Hawks secured home court advantage against the Hornets for the first play-in game.
