James Harden breaks Marcus Smart’s ankles and then airballs
James Harden is one of the most unique players in the NBA. While nobody questions his talent, Harden has a reputation of not coming through on the big stage. Infamously, Manu Ginobili blocked James Harden’s game winner, back in 2017. In the years since then, James Harden has been unable to get the job done.
James Harden originally was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paired with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, Harden led the Thunder to the 2012 NBA Finals. There, the Thunder lost the championship to the Miami Heat in five games. After that, James Harden was traded to the Houston Rockets. In nine years, Harden led the Rockets to their best years since Hakeem Olajuwon played for the team. This included 2018, when the Rockets won 65 games, Harden paired with Chris Paul, won MVP, and almost defeated the Golden State Warriors.
James Harden was traded from the Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets in 2021. Briefly, he and Kevin Durant reunited. Alongside Kyrie Irving, the Nets were supposed to be the best team of all time. Instead, they lost to the Bucks in the second round. After that, Harden was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. Tonight, they took on the Boston Celtics. Despite being down, James Harden managed to shake Marcus Smart so badly that he slid down the court. In Shaqtin’ fashion, Harden airballed the open three pointer in epic fashion.
